If you liked SCIENCE or Fungus Amungus you will definately like this album, if you discovered Incubus when Make Yourself came out I'd borrow the CD from a friend before buying it, just to make sure. Enjoy Incubus contains all of the elements that led up to the great albums of SCIENCE and Make Yourself. The album is definately a great release for a young band.
Songs like "You will be a hot dancer" and "Azwethinkweiz" are great examples of Incubus's pure energy, style, and unmistakable sound. 's heavy side, and Make Yourself 's hip-hop influences all in one, short, six-track EP. The album is a huge step up from their debut, and forshadows S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
The album has proper recording, mixing, and production. Although the cd only has 6 tracks on it, it's a great buy for anyone that is a hardcore fan of Incubus. This makes Enjoy Incubus a completely different experience than Incubus's lo-fi debut. Anyway this is Incubus back before they were really famous, and when they still had that funk rock chili pepper sound. The record store was out, and I gave in and bought SCIENCE (which is now my favorite of all their albums). To make a long story short he let me hear this cd, and I was instantly hooked, and I went out to the record store to buy it. I first heard Incubus one day at work from a co-worker/friend early in 1998 that explained to me that Incubus was his favorite band, and thought that I might like them as well.
